Mountain Biking
Mountain Biking is not only a hobby for the crew of Multi-Day Adventures, it’s a passion. It’s for this reason that our biking tours are so unique. The combination of passion, experience, skill and knowledge of New Zealand’s mountain biking trails makes our guides second to none.
All our bikes are the latest model 2009 GT full suspension Force’s and Avalanche hard tails. We also have all the necessary equipment such as helmets and full finger gloves, as well as knee, shin and elbow pads or full face helmets on request.
Whakarewarewa / Redwood Forest
Rotorua City has become a mecca for mountain bikers from all over the world. With over 100km of purpose built mountain biking trails all a short 5 minute drive from the city centre, you would struggle to find anywhere better in the world. Allow 3-4 hours round trip with 2-3 hours riding depending on your skill and fitness levels. Tour includes Return Transport from Rotorua, GT bike hire, Safety helmet and Forest Concession fees. Suitable for 8 years and older.

42nd Traverse
Full day or overnight bike
An epic ride in the first World Heritage site, Tongariro National Park. Experience an amazing ride through native forest and spectacular views in 1 day, or as an overnight staying in a secluded hut next to the Whanganui river. Continue the next day with a river crossing and more idyllic scenery before completing your ultimate ride. This is a challenging ride and should only be booked for clients with previous mountain bike experience and those physically fit. Allow a full day; Suitable for ages 15 and older.

Mount Tarawera Volcano
4WD or Heli-Bike
The magic of Mount Tarawera and the sensation felt while on the summit of a volcano makes you realise how alive you really are. After “screeing” down into the actual crater, we hop on our full suspension bikes to ride 10km of downhill on the side of this awe inspiring mountain. Allow approximately 4-5 hours. Suitable for ages 13 and older.
